Friedrich suggests to get game developers, cultural organisations, universities and so on (companies or non-profit) in into the board of advisors

  • special interest groups (SIG) should be created working on different topics
  • possible topics: technology, social impact etc.
  • members should be real persons with real email adresses
  • Friedrich will develop a letter to adress the possible members -> put it up on the wiki
  • Ricard will bring in names -(15th Sept 06) "Hi folks, here's Paul Wells' Bio -see what you think...

Professor Paul Wells is Director of Animation in The Animation Academy. He has published widely in the field of animation including Understanding Animation (1998), Animation and America (2002), Animation : Genre and Authorship (2002) and Fundamentals of Animation (2006). He has also created documentaries for Channel Four plus three BBC programmes and has selected programmes of animated films for various Festivals across the world.

Paul is a lovely guy, hugely interested in Machinima. He's highly respected in the academia and within the industry and is an impressive researcher which I could be great in order to give Machinima the respect it deserves within these areas. Adios!"

  • is interested in how Machinima can be the most democratic way to produce animation and can empower authors to project their views
  • and in how machinima revolutionises production and distribution and (especially) how it crosses over with other art forms
  • Xavier said Isabelle Arvers would love to get involved
  • wants to ask people from Nadeo (Media Tracker)
  • further discussion about commercial interests of board members is sent to the wiki
  • names of possible board members will be collected in the wiki (including details about their possible topics
  • „soft approach“ of future board members already possible and welcome
