Where to start

The tutorials are laid out in a way that they build up on each other's content. If you can, go watch the video tutorials to get an idea of how the tools look and feel. All the tutorials are provided as text/picture Tutorials as well. You might also want to go look at the User created Tutorials.

Video Tutorials

Video Tutorials can be downloaded and require the XVid Codec[1] for Windows or latest Quicktime[2] for Mac.

My first Movie

In this video tutorial, we create a basic movie of two guys, walking through an unreal Level. We learn the basics of navigating through the environment, placing our actors and assigning Actions to them. We then add Cameras and Lights.

Tutorials

The Tutorials in this section are simple written how-tos, supported by screenshots and sometimes specific files.

Working with Objects and Actions

A general introduction to the Interface and Object properties. Assigning Actions to Pawns and scripting a small first scene.

Basic Cameras

We create a Camera and discuss its specific properties. We assign a camerapath and a Look Target.

Posing your Character

In this Tutorial, we take a look at the posing tool and how to use it to generate your own poses. We also cover Bone structures and assigning Poses to other characters.

Playing guitar

This tutorial describes a small setup that let's you play guitar with your Pawn.

Moviesandbox Workflow

This tutorial explains ways to setup Pawns, Props and Textures to access them from within Moviesandbox. Requires basic knowledge of the Unreal Editor.
